CampusLink 2021 – UPDATE

Following two postponements, it is with great excitement, and fingers crossed, that we announce the rescheduled dates (again!) for the CampusLink Conference.

TAG is eager to deliver what will possibly be the most anticipated CampusLink conference yet! CampusLink 2021 will now be held on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24thof June this year.

With travel restrictions and border closures still featuring sporadically in our lives, as well as financials being tight for all, the format has been revised to TWO days rather than the usual three.

The conference is still set to go ahead at the fabulous Griffith University, Gold Coast campus, with the Gala Awards Dinner taking place at the Sheraton Grand Mirage on the Thursday evening. A pre-conference networking event has also been scheduled for TOP GOLF Gold Coast on Tuesday evening 22nd June 2021, for those who arrive early.

To ensure the health and safety of our delegates the event will be governed by delegate capacity guidelines.

All TAG members with registrations carrying over from CampusLink 2020 have now been contacted. Please check your emails and return your confirmation of delegates to the TAG Office without delay.

If you have not registered yet, tickets are still available on Eventbrite until sold outRegister HERE.

We understand that it can be challenging to get sign-off to attend conferences and events in times of budget restraints. TAG ensures that this is the most cost-effective conference of its type in the country and offers TAG Members an 85% discount, making one-day tickets available for as low as $100 +GST per person. We have also created a template which may assist our members in requesting Manager/Board approval to attend.

Please note: Organisations that have paid their 2021 TAG Service Fee are entitled to the phenomenal 85% DISCOUNT, so make sure you choose the right ticket options before purchasing.

For more than twenty years, our annual conference has been an invaluable aspect of the professional and social development of TAG members, as well as an environment in which to learn best practices for creating the optimum student experience.

The rescheduled conference will still include all its well-established features such as:

  • Industry-relevant presentations, workshops, and plenaries
  • Multiple networking events and opportunities
  • The TAG Trade Fair
  • The much-anticipated annual Gala Awards Dinner
  • The TAG Campus Barista of the Year Final

CampusLink typically brings together over 250 industry professionals and representatives from varied student service disciplines and interest areas including; student engagement and events, commercial services, clubs and societies, sport & fitness, communications & marketing, human resources, advocacy, volunteering, student welfare and more.

Representatives from Guilds, Unions, Incorporated Organisations, Universities, Co-operatives, Controlled Entities, as well as Benefit Partners, Commercial and Strategic Partners all attend.

CampusLink programs always include keynote presentations, group workshops, plenary sessions and peer-led discussions on many relevant topics, ensuring TAG Members and guests are engaged with the latest information and ideas around student engagement and campus services.

Our 2021 program has been revised to include topics pertinent to the experiences we have all faced during these unprecedented times. Everyone will be encouraged to ask questions, share their experiences and make the most of lessons learned.

We are happy to share that our sponsors, and an overwhelming majority of Trade Fair exhibitors, have fully committed to the 2021 event. The Trade Fair will now be held on the afternoon of the 23rd June in the Functions Centre and UniBar of Griffith University Gold Coast Student Guild.

TAG as an organisation strongly believes in community building on our campuses, and throughout our profession, and does its best to keep members connected and feeling supported.

The conference program is structured to provide dedicated networking events and multiple opportunities to strengthen these connections. Key benefits of the annual CampusLink Conference are connecting with national colleagues and peers who all work as professionals in our sector, meeting with new and existing suppliers, and engaging first hand with presenters.

The following avenues can help you find people in your community group of interest within the TAG group prior to the conference. You are invited to join any of these Facebook groups or alternatively email TAG so we can head you in the right direction.

We would like to thank our members for their continued patience and support, the TAG staff for their ongoing effort in these challenging times, and Jess Brown and her team from Griffith Gold Coast Student Guild who have kept focused on supporting all the changes of CampusLink over the past year.

We eagerly look forward to this physical event, filled with plenty of smiling faces and warm connections as we come together as a sector again for the first time in eighteen months.
