TAG CAMP was successfully held Monday and Tuesday of this week.50 delegates from 17 member organisations met for a day and a half of Committee and Management Planning at the stunning International College of Management in Manly.
Unlike the old Management and Planning meeting, this year the focus was moved from the stage to the five committee tables, where committee members and other delegates worked through the relevant challenges of our dynamic organisation and set in place goals and plans for the coming year.
The meeting kicked off on the Monday morning with a great presentation, "The New Work Smarts" by Annette Cairnduff from the Foundation for Young Australians, following on from their presentation at CampusLink earlier this year. The rest of the day was given over to plenty of opportunity for discussion and planning focusing on how to best maximise TAG's ability to deliver the best in services to its members and position itself as a leader in the tertiary services sector.
That evening, delegates were treated to a classic Manly pub experience at the nearby iconic Steyne Hotel. It was a fun night enjoyed by those that attended.
Tuesday morning, Lyn Bayliss from Activate UTS kicked off the day with a presentation on the "Power of One - Breaking Down the Silos", before we moved into wrap up discussions, and outcomes were presented back to the plenary by the various committees:
The formation of the Clubs & Societies Committee was the event's crowning outcome, and I'm sure that you will agree that all of these results are representative of a very productive day and a half, and really sets an ambitious path for 2018.
We look forward to seeing you at next year's TAG CAMP in September.
