The challenges of COVID-19 are growing, and raising many questions amongst businesses, organisations and the community as they scramble to adapt to the increasingly fluid situation. Governments and tourism industries are having to balance the fine line between public health and tourism income. Consequently, the action they take and the speed at which they take it may be conservative.

TAG is an organisation that believes in community building, on our campuses and in our profession. For more than twenty years, our annual conference has been invaluable aspect of the professional and social development of members, as well as an environment in which to learn best practices for creating the optimum student experience.

The TAG Board of Directors must act in what we believe to be in the best interest of not only our members, but all stakeholders, and the wider community. Consequently, we have decided to postpone CampusLink 2020 and its associated components which were scheduled to occur in April, to later this year once the immediate threats posed by COVID-19 have hopefully passed. This is in line with actions taken by an increasing number of conferences and events, and government and community expectations. This includes:

  • Three days of industry-relevant presentations, workshops, and plenaries
  • The TAG Trade Fair
  • The much anticipated annual Gala Awards Dinner
  • Barista of the Year Final

CampusLink brings together over 250 industry professionals and representatives from varied student service disciplines and interest areas including; commercial services, events & student engagement, sport & fitness, communications & marketing, human resources and more.

Representatives from Guilds, Unions, Incorporated Organisations, Universities, Co-operatives, Controlled Entities, as well as Benefit Partners, Commercial and Strategic Partners all attended.

Workshops, Presentations and Sessions:

CampusLink programs include keynote presentations, group workshops, plenary sessions and peer-led discussions on many relevant topics, ensuring TAG Members and guests are engaged with the latest information and ideas around campus services. If you have something to share and would like to present a session at this year's conference, please contact the TAG office, 02 4322 1205.

Networking and Peers:

A key benefit of the annual CampusLink Conference is connecting with national colleagues, fellow attendees, suppliers, and presenters - as such, there are a number of dedicated networking events throughout the conference program. We do however aim to provide opportunities to connect both physically and digitially, to stay engaged and connected with your student services network.
